US denies speculations of linking Khan’s release to Trump’s victory
Mathew Miller said that they have said several times that America has no role in removing Imran Khan
Washington: The Spokesperson of the US State Department Matthew Miller said there is no truth in the speculations of the release of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan after Donald Trump won the elections.
In the press briefing of US State Department spokesperson Miller, the journalist asked that PTI leader Latif Khosa said that if Donald Trump wins the election, the PTI founder will be released. “How many times do I have to say that's not true,” replied Matthew Miller.
The spokesperson of the US State Department added that it has been said many times that the legal proceedings against the former prime minister are a matter for the Pakistani courts.
Mathew Miller further said that they have said several times that America has no role in removing Imran Khan. Pakistan's politics is for the people of Pakistan.
