Melbourne: Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam's bat will be kept in the long room of the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
MCG officials asked Babar Azam to donate the bat for the long room after which he agreed to give the bat he used in the T20 World Cup final 2022.
According to MCG officials, Babar Azam's bat will be kept in the long room of the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Bats by Don Bradman, David Bone, Jack Hobbs and Brian Lara are also on display in the MCG long room.
Talking about this, Babar Azam said that it is an honor for him to display his bat in the long room here. ‘I have a lot of memories associated with the MCG. It is one of the best grounds with the bats of the great batsmen of the world. It is an honor to have my bat here’.
It is pertinent to note that Babar Azam played in the final of the T20 World Cup 2022 in Melbourne.
