First prize of Rs1,500 prize bond is Rs3mn, second prize is Rs1mn, and third prize is Rs18,500

Multan/Rawalpindi: The lucky numbers of the holders of Rs100 and Rs1,500 prize bonds have been announced.
The draw for the Rs100 prize bond under the National Savings Division was held in Multan and the Rs1,500 prize bond was held in Rawalpindi.
The first prize of the Rs1,500 prize bond is Rs3 million, the second prize is Rs1 million, and the third prize is Rs18,500.
The first prize of the Rs 100 prize bond is Rs7 million, the second prize is Rs2 million, and the third prize is Rs1,000.
It is pertinent to note that a large number of citizens invest in prize bonds because it is considered safe. The government does not give any monthly profit on prize bonds, but the prize money is given through a draw.
The Central Directorate of National Savings introduced the prize bond scheme in the 60s. National Savings announces the lucky numbers of the winners through a draw every three months in a year.
The withholding tax is deducted from the prize money under Section 156 of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001. The current rate of tax deduction is 15 percent for tax filers and 30 percent for non-filers.
