During a transit stay in Dubai, the passenger deliberately missed his next flight to Baku and tried to board for South Africa on a tempered South African visa


Sialkot: A Pakistani resident of South Africa for 16 years was arrested on his arrival in Sialkot after being deported from Dubai due to a fake visa.
According to airport authorities, passenger Tauseef Shahzad arrived in Sialkot on Thursday morning via Fly Dubai flight F337.
According to immigration authorities, the passenger had left Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad, for Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, on November 23 on a visit visa.
During a transit stay in Dubai, the passenger deliberately missed his next flight to Baku and tried to board for South Africa on a tempered South African visit visa on his Pakistani passport.
Dubai immigration authorities stopped the passenger and during investigation declared the passenger’s South African visa to be fake.
Dubai authorities deported the passenger back to Pakistan on the next available flight, who was arrested in Sialkot.
During the investigation, the passenger said that he had lived in South Africa for 16 years.
