Pakistan demands an unconditional ceasefire in Palestine and welcomes the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon

Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli atrocities in Palestine and demanded an unconditional ceasefire on the occasion of International Solidarity Day with the Palestinians.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a weekly press briefing that Pakistan condemns the ongoing Israeli atrocities in Palestine, expresses full solidarity with the Palestinian people, and the international community should hold Israel accountable for its aggression and genocide in Palestine.
She stated that Pakistan reiterates its unwavering support for the Palestinians. Pakistan demands an unconditional ceasefire in Palestine and welcomes the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon.
The Foreign Office Spokesperson added that human rights violations by India are continuing in occupied Kashmir, and Pakistan will continue to provide political, moral, and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris.
President Asif Ali Zadari
President Asif Ali Zardari, in a message, strongly condemned Israel’s aggression and stressed the role of the international community in ensuring an immediate ceasefire and ending the genocide of the Palestinian people.
The President said: “Today, Pakistan reiterates its demand to the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council, for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza, unhindered provision of humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of millions of Palestinians, and holding Israel accountable for its actions”.
He expressed his determination in the statement that Pakistan will continue to support Palestine.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif
Prime Minister said in his message that on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, he reiterated the support of the people and government of Pakistan for a just solution to the Palestinian issue and the achievement of the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination.
Shehbaz Sharif stated that since October 7, 2023, this year has been the darkest in the history of Palestine in terms of the Israeli aggression in Gaza and the West Bank. Israel has so far massacred 43,000 innocent Palestinian men, women, and children, committing the most heinous atrocities in history.
The Prime Minister added that the Palestinian people are bravely enduring the attacks, systematic genocide, and campaign of violence by Israel and that the Israeli aggression in Palestine is a clear violation of human rights and international law.
He further said that due to Israel’s violations of international human rights laws, humanitarian aid efforts by the international community in Gaza have also been badly affected, which has intensified the suffering of the besieged population.
The Prime Minister also stated that Pakistan strongly demands the international community to take decisive action to immediately stop Israel’s atrocities in Palestine.
He continued that attacks on civilians, hospitals, schools, and infrastructure should be stopped. Attacks on aid convoys sent to the Palestinians are intolerable. The immunity that is being given to Israel to be held accountable for these serious war crimes and brutal violations of human rights is the basis on which Israel has spread further destruction in Gaza and Lebanon.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan demands an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza and emphasizes the urgent need to ensure unhindered humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people.
