Five terrorists killed in Lakki Marwat IBO: ISPR

Rawalpindi: Five militants were killed in crossfire with the security forces during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Lakki Marwat district, said the military's media affairs wing on Wednesday. T
A statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the operation was conducted on the reported presence of terrorists during which two of them also sustained injuries.
"Own troops effectively engaged khwarij [terrorists] location and resultantly, five khwarij were sent to hell, while two Khwarij also got injured".
Sanitisation operation was launched to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country, the statement added.
President Asif Ali Zardari commended the security forces for conducting a successful operation in Lakki Marwat.
Operation lauded
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday paid tribute to the security forces for a successful anti-terrorism operation while eliminating five Khawarij terrorists and arresting two injured in Lakki Marwat district.
The prime minister said, according to a PM Office news release that the nefarious intentions of the enemies of humanity would continue to be crushed in the same way.
The PM added that the government was actively working to completely eradicate terrorism from the country.
