Three cases were registered against PTI leaders in Islamabad’s Margalla police station, two each in Kohsar and Shahzad Town police stations

Islamabad: 10 more cases have been registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders over the Islamabad protest, taking the total number of cases registered in connection with the November 24 protest to 20.
According to a media report, three cases were registered against PTI leaders in Islamabad’s Margalla police station, two each in Kohsar and Shahzad Town police stations.
According to the report, two cases each were registered in Karachi Company police station, Secretariat police station and Tarnol police station, while one case each was registered in the Sihala police station, Bani Gala police station, Shams Colony police station, and Nellore police station.
One case each has been registered against PTI leadership in Noon police station, Khanna police station, and Aabpara police station. So far, 853 people have been arrested in connection with the registered cases.
On the other hand, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi discharged five PTI workers arrested from Sadiqabad police station limits from the case.
According to the report, the PTI workers were kept in Attock Jail after their arrest and were produced before Rawalpindi ATC from Attock Jail today.
The court discharged the five arrested accused from the case in light of lack of evidence. The discharged accused include Arshad Qureshi, Imran, Waheed Khan, Zubair Khan, and Muhammad Kashif.
It is pertinent to note that after the final call for protest by the PTI founder on November 24, a protest march was held for Islamabad under the leadership of Bushra Bibi and Chief Minister of KP Ali Amin Gandapur. However, on November 26, after a clash between the march participants and the police, the PTI workers ‘escaped’ from the federal capital.
