Islamabad: A journalist of a foreign media agency filed a case against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder’s wife Bushra Bibi, and other leaders.

According to the details, the First Information Report (FIR) has been filed at the Ramna police station under sections 324, 382, 148, 149, 427, and 109 in response to a complaint lodged by Mohammad Yousaf, a video journalist working for the Associated Press.

The FIR stated that on November 26 at 7:45am, Yousaf reached G-10 near Kashmir Highway to cover the PTI protest. Upon arrival, tear gas was being fired between the protestors and police.

During the coverage, suddenly 25 to 30 people attacked the journalist using iron rods and sticks to kill him on behalf of Ali Amin, Bushra Bibi, and other leaders, in which he sustained injuries, including a severe head injury, added the report.

A police officer stated that the number of cases filed against the PTI leaders, supporters, and workers in Islamabad had reached 23.

Other PTI leaders, including Salman Akram Raja, Sheikh Waqas, Omer Ayub, Shoaib Shaheen, Zulfi Bukhari, Hammad Azhar, Arif Alvi, Asad Qaiser, Zartaj Gul, Rauf Hassan, Murad Saeed, Sher Afzal Marwat, and Shibli Faraz were also named in several cases.

Moreover, over 54,000 unknown people were also booked in these cases.
