According to the report, the temperature in most states is below freezing, in some states the temperature is from -5 degrees to -29 degrees, while in the Canadian state of Manitoba, the temperature is predicted to go up to -40 degrees.

According to the report, the National Weather Service, the US meteorological agency, says that 6 to 12 inches of snow may fall in various states from Ohio to Washington. The severity of the cold has already increased due to the snowfall, while a state of emergency has been declared in six US states due to the severe cold and snowfall.

The BBC reported in this regard that more than 1,500 flights have been canceled and 5,000 flights have been delayed due to snowfall. Various roads are also closed due to snowfall, while schools have also been closed in some states.

According to the report, a meteorological agency said that the recent January cold snap will likely be the coldest January in American history since 2011.
