Copenhagen: The first case of desecration of the Holy Quran has been registered in Denmark.
According to foreign media reports, two people were registered on Friday under a new law in Denmark that makes desecration of the Holy Quran illegal.
The report said that the identities of these people were not disclosed, but they are accused of desecrating the Holy Quran during a festival in June.
No further details of the alleged actions of the accused were provided by the authorities and local media.
It is pertinent to note that in 2023, there were several incidents of desecration of the Holy Quran in Denmark and Sweden, after which Muslim countries demanded a ban on such heinous acts.
