Prices of petroleum products in UAE have surged by 4-5.5 percent


Dubai: Petrol and diesel prices have been increased in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), while toll tax has also been increased.
The prices of petroleum products in the UAE have surged by 4-5.5 percent, which will be implemented from today.
According to the announcement of the Emirati Fuel Price Committee, one liter of petrol in the UAE will be available for 2.74 dirhams, i.e. 208 Pakistani rupees, while the price of diesel will be 2.82 dirhams i.e. PKR214.18 per liter.
Toll tax in Dubai
The Road and Transport Authority, the body that oversees Dubai's traffic operations, has increased the toll tax ‘Salik’ fee by 50 percent, under which additional charges will now be applicable for passing through Dubai's toll gates.
According to the new toll tax rates in Dubai, the toll fee will be 6 dirhams (approximately PKR456) from 6:00am to 10:00am and 4:00pm to 8:00pm. While, the toll fee will remain at 4 dirhams (approximately PKR304) during off-peak hours and on weekly holidays.
The toll fee timings have also been changed for Ramadan. Since Dubai is a venue for global events, the public parking fee in event zones will be 25 dirhams (approximately PKR1,898) per hour, which will be charged during major events near the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Similarly, the parking fee in high-demand areas will be 6 dirhams (approximately PKR456) per hour, and the general parking fee will remain at 4 dirhams (approximately PKR304).
