Hours after wedding, car of bride and groom meets with an accident in Layyah

According to details, two persons including a woman were killed and three others sustained serious injuries when a speedy car rammed into a tractor-trolley during the crossing.

The car was filled with people returning after attending a Barat ceremony in Sialkot.

The groom's cousin Muhammad Rizwan and mother-in-law Samina Bibi died on spot in the accident.

Groom Imtiaz Ali, bride Nimrah Bibi and one other relative Sidra Bibi were seriously injured.

After getting information, police and rescue reached the site and shifted injured to District Headquarters Hospital and the dead bodies to Tehsil Hospital Chowk Azam.

The injured and the dead belong to village Chakmanbar on the outskirts of Layyah.
