Two-member inquiry committee formed to investigate allegations

(Web Desk): A professor at the University of Malakand, accused of sexually harassing female students, was arrested by the police, confirmed Additional Deputy Commissioner Muhibullah Khan on Sunday.
A female student filed a complaint against the professor, claiming that he had been harassing her for months and sought police help. The deputy commissioner stated that a case has been filed against the professor under various charges, and an investigation is underway.
In her First Information Report (FIR), the student alleged that the professor had been sexually harassing her and even attempted to kidnap her from her home.
Following the professor’s arrest, the university administration suspended him and forwarded the case to the university's harassment committee for further action.
In response to the incident, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur took notice and formed a two-member inquiry committee to investigate the allegations. The committee, made up of Administration Department Additional Secretary Asif Rahim and KP Police AIG Establishment Sonia Shamroz, will visit the university to gather facts and statements from all parties involved.
The committee has been tasked with submitting its report within 15 days, as stated in the notification issued by the Chief Minister's Secretariat.
