Bahawalpur: A devastating fire broke out in the Toba Qasimwala area of the Cholistan Desert, leading to the tragic deaths of a woman and four children. The incident occurred when a fire ignited from a stove while the woman was preparing tea, quickly spreading to nearby huts constructed from sugarcane crop remnants.
According to local police, the fire engulfed the huts, and despite efforts to control the flames, the woman and four children—whose ages ranged from one to four years—succumbed to the intense heat and smoke. The victims were trapped inside the structure, unable to escape the rapidly spreading fire.
Authorities have confirmed that the bodies of the deceased have been transferred to a local hospital for further examination.
