Provision of gas supply is expected to have positive impact on industrial development


Lahore: The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIF) is working to develop the energy sector and promote industrial activities.
According to the details, steps are underway to approve a 50 million cubic feet per day gas supply with the support of SIFC. The National Steel Complex Limited (NSCL) is considering options for gas supply, local gas reserves, and imported LNG.
The provision of gas supply is expected to have a positive impact on industrial development, employment opportunities, and the economy. Stability in energy prices and strengthening the local economy is the top priority of the government.
‘Engro Vopak Terminal Limited’ (EVTL) has demanded the expansion of Port Qasim Authority for a continuous supply of LPG and liquid chemicals.
Port Qasim Authority is determined to benefit from the importance of the terminal, which is expected to increase LPG imports by 35 percent and improve the economy.
With the support of SIFC, LPG imports from the Port Qasim Authority Terminal will increase industrial activities and benefit the national economy. The significant progress of the Petroleum Division with the support of SIFC will contribute to economic stability and industrial development.
