Viral video shows passengers and crew members bravely subduing armed youth near aircraft's door

(Web Desk): A dramatic incident unfolded when a 17-year-old armed man was arrested aboard a flight traveling from Geelong to Sydney.
The young man, carrying a shotgun and other weapons, was apprehended by passengers and the pilot after boarding the aircraft unnoticed.
According to foreign media reports, the situation was captured in a viral video, showing passengers and crew members bravely subduing the armed youth near the aircraft's door. Fortunately, the situation ended without casualties.
After the arrest, all 160 passengers on board were safely evacuated, and authorities quickly closed the airport as a precautionary measure. The incident led to widespread concerns over airport security protocols, particularly as the young man had disguised himself as a ground crew member, successfully bypassing security under the pretense of maintenance work.
Police have confirmed that the arrested youth is from the state of Victoria. Authorities are investigating how the individual managed to gain access to the aircraft, with suspicions that he may have entered the plane through a hole in the airport's security fence. However, it remains unclear whether the arrested youth is responsible for creating the hole.
The investigation is still ongoing, with authorities working to determine how the security breach occurred and to understand the full extent of the young man's intentions.
