Use of vaccine has been stopped in the hospital


Lahore: A patient died due to an alleged reaction to the vaccine in the chest ward of Mayo Hospital in Lahore, while 15 patients were affected.
The hospital administration says that the patients reacted to receiving Ceftriaxone injection.
According to the Mayo Hospital Lahore administration, 36-year-old patient Noreen died due to an alleged reaction to a Ceftriaxone injection, while 15 patients were affected, 3 of whom are on ventilators.
The administration says that the use of the vaccine has been stopped in the hospital, and a committee has been formed under the leadership of Professor Dr Asrar-ul-Haq Toor to investigate the matter, which includes the Chief Pharmacist, Deputy Nursing, and AMS Mayo Hospital, among other members.
Chief Executive Officer Mayo Hospital Professor Muhammad Haroon Hamid says that legal action will be taken against those responsible.
On the other hand, it is also reported that medicines were recently purchased at Mayo Hospital and were brought without lab tests, and patients were not tested before being injected.
