Price of sugar increased to reach Rs170 per kg in Lahore

Lahore: A major increase of Rs10 per kg was recorded in the price of sugar in the first decade of Ramadan.
In Lahore, the price of sugar increased by Rs10 per kg to reach Rs170.
The President of the Grocery Merchants Association, describing the situation as extremely worrying, has expressed the possibility of sugar becoming more expensive.
Due to the increase in sugar prices, the prices of bakery items and beverages are also likely to hike.
In Peshawar, too, an increase of Rs10 per kg of sugar has been recorded in 15 days and sugar is being sold for Rs170 per kg in the retail market, while the price of sugar per kg in the wholesale market has reached Rs167.
