Contiguous delta virus: NCOC decides to disallow domestic travel without inoculation certificate
Islamabad: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) Friday decided not to allow domestic travel without vaccination certificate from August 1.

A meeting held under the chair of Federal Minister Asad Umar recommended restriction keeping in view the reported cases of Indian delta virus in the country.
All those aged 18 and above will need to provide vaccination certificate for domestic travel and hotel booking.
The NCOC also declared it mandatory for adult students to get themselves vaccinated by August 31
"The delta variant cases are being reported in Pakistan which the forum is declaring the most dangerous."
The meeting participants suspected the fourth wave of coronavirus had struck Pakistan.
The forum stressed to expedite inoculation of citizens and implementation on SOPs, saying the nation could face dire consequences if extreme precations were not taken.
It was decided to ensure implementtaion on current SOPs strictly between July 9 and July 18. The forum didn't rule out the possibility of banning tourism.
The NCOC discussed several suggestions to restrict unnecessary movement during Eidul Azha holidays in case of surge in cases. The forum said final decision would be taken in days to come.
All private sector employees, including corporate sector, media persons, lawyers, employees at private companies, factory workers, shopkeepers, hotel workers, mosque servants and imams, helpers at wedding halls had been strongly advised to get themselves vaccinated before July 31.
Buzdar issues warning
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has also appealed to the citizens to continue following corona SOPs to remain safe from the fourth wave of coronavirus.
In a statement, the CM said the adoption of necessary precautions can save the people from the fourth wave, adding neglect and avoidance of SOPs can lead to an increase in corona cases.
"God forbid", he hinted at the possibilities of smart lockdown if the ratio of positive cases is increased.
The citizens should continue following social distancing and use of facemasks to ensure safety from this virus, the Buzdar advised.
