Incident occurs on Naran Lake Road, a popular route for tourists

(Web Desk): An avalanche in Mansehra, at one of the region's most popular tourist destinations, has caused extensive damage, destroying several houses, hotels, and two turbines. The incident occurred on the Naran Lake Road, a renowned route for tourists visiting the picturesque Naran area.
The avalanche, which struck with little warning, has left six homes and three hotels damaged. In addition to this, two turbines were also destroyed, worsening the situation for the local community and industries dependent on the area’s power supply.
According to officials from the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA), the Naran road is currently closed due to the heavy snowfall, which has accumulated to over four feet in some places. This has significantly hindered access to the affected area, preventing immediate relief efforts from reaching the people in need.
The KDA authorities have confirmed that once the weather conditions improve and the snow clears, a rescue team will be dispatched to Naran to assist with recovery operations and provide help to those affected by the disaster.
