China plans to install radio telescope on moon
Telescope will consist of 7,200 antennae arranged in butterfly-like shape, covering an area of 30 kilometers


(Web Desk): In recent years, China has been actively working on several space research projects and is also preparing to send humans to the moon soon.
Now, Chinese scientists have proposed a plan to install a radio telescope on the far side of the moon. This part of the moon is not visible from Earth.
According to Chinese media reports, the construction of this radio telescope is expected to be completed in the 2030s. The telescope will consist of 7,200 antennae arranged in a butterfly-like shape, covering an area of 30 kilometers.
By being placed on the moon, this radio telescope will help scientists study various cosmic mysteries, as it will allow uninterrupted observation of radio signals from planets, galaxies, and black holes without interference from Earth-based signals.
The construction of the telescope is expected to begin with China's Chang'e 7 and Chang'e 8 missions in 2026 and 2028, respectively. This telescope could help China discover new planets that may be suitable for human habitation. It will also provide insights into the origin of the universe.
