YouTube to change ‘Shorts’ view count
YouTube Shorts will now show number of times a short video is played or replayed

California: YouTube is making a big change that will appeal to most users, especially those who like to post short videos.
YouTube is changing the view count of YouTube Shorts so that users can better understand how well their short videos are doing.
YouTube Shorts will now show the number of times a short video is played or replayed.
Previously, instead of view numbers, Shorts showed how long a short video was watched.
According to the company, the reason for this change was the demand of users who said that they wanted to understand how many times the shorts videos were actually watched.
According to the company, this change will give users a better idea of how much reach their videos have and will allow them to create and post content accordingly. It will also give them the opportunity to partner with brands.
After this update, the video views system in YouTube Shorts has become similar to TikTok and Instagram Reels, which shows the number of times a video has been viewed or replayed.
Users will still be able to see the duration of watching Short videos by going to Advanced Mode which is now called Engaged Views.
According to the company, this change will not affect the revenue that users receive when they watch videos or their eligibility to join the YouTube Partner Program.
This new change will be effective from March 31.
