When does a solar eclipse occur?
A solar eclipse on Earth occurs when the moon comes between the sun and the earth during its rotation, after which some or all of the sun is not visible from the earth.
The distance between the Sun and the Moon is 400 times greater than the distance between the Moon and the Earth, so a solar eclipse is not visible from Earth, and it is not necessarily visible from the entire world.
