Temperature is likely to be 4 to 7 degrees Celsius higher than normal


Islamabad: The Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave advisory in view of the severe heat wave in the country.
According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature is likely to be 4 to 7 degrees Celsius higher than normal in some parts of Sindh, southern and central Punjab, and Balochistan today and tomorrow.
During the last 24 hours, the highest temperature in the country was recorded in Dadu, Mohenjo Daro, Nawabshah, and Pad Eidan at 47 degrees Celsius, Khairpur, Sibi, Larkana at 46, Rahim Yar Khan, Skrand, Jacobabad, Mithi, and Sukkur at 45 degrees.
In addition, the maximum temperature was recorded in Karachi, Multan, Dera Ismail Khan at 40, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad at 37, Islamabad at 35, Quetta at 32, and Gilgit at 31 degrees.
The Meteorological Department says that intermittent dusty winds and rain are likely in some areas of Islamabad, Punjab, KP, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir from tonight to April 11.
