CM Bihar announced financial assistance of Rs0.4 million to the families of each deceased


Bihar: Dozens of people have died in hailstorms and lightning strikes in the Indian state of Bihar.
According to Indian media, hailstorms and lightning strikes were reported in various districts of Bihar, in which about 25 people have been confirmed dead.
In this regard, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said regarding the deaths that 18 deaths occurred in Nalanda district, followed by two in Siwan district, and one death each was reported in Katihar, Darbhanga, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, and Jehanabad.
He expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and also announced financial assistance of Rs0.4 million each.
On the other hand, the Indian Meteorological Department has said that an orange alert is in effect in various districts of the state, with heavy rain expected today and tomorrow as well.
According to the Meteorological Department, thunderstorms and winds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour are possible in various districts.
According to media reports, due to the 42.6 mm of rain in Patna, Bihar yesterday, many roads and areas were flooded.
