Petrol is Rs254.63 per liter, and diesel is Rs258.64 per liter

Islamabad: The government has announced the prices of petroleum products for the next 15 days.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance, the prices of petroleum products have been maintained.
The statement said that petrol is Rs254.63 per liter, and diesel is Rs258.64 per liter.
Increase in petroleum levy
The decrease in oil prices in the global market has been adjusted by increasing the petroleum levy.
The levy on petrol has been increased by Rs8.72 per liter and set at Rs78.72 from Rs70.
The levy on diesel has been increased by Rs7.1 per liter and set at Rs77.1 from Rs70.
The increase in petroleum levy was made through a presidential ordinance.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had said that oil prices have come down in the global market. Instead of passing on the benefits to the people, we will apply them to Balochistan.
In his address to the federal cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister said that oil prices have come down further in the global market. Petrol prices are going to reduce and we have decided to maintain it and not pass on the benefits of the reduction in petrol prices to the people.
The Prime Minister said that with this money, we will heal the wounds of the nation and build the Kachhi Canal and the Quetta-Karachi M-25.
