Govt of Pakistan is running quality campaign with special focus on sensitive areas

Islamabad: The second polio campaign of 2025 in Pakistan will begin on April 21.
According to the Polio Eradication Program spokesperson, more than 400,000 frontline workers will participate in this campaign, who will administer polio drops to more than 45.4 million children in 159 districts across the country.
The spokesperson said that the presence of the polio virus is still a major threat in many areas of the country, so repeated polio drops for children are indispensable for their safe future.
According to the Polio Program, the continuation of the campaign has led to a significant reduction in polio cases in the past years.
The spokesperson added that the government of Pakistan is running a quality campaign with special focus on sensitive areas like southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Quetta, and Karachi.
The spokesperson appealed to parents to fully cooperate with the polio teams so that every child can be protected from polio.
