Attackers were reportedly protesting the construction of canals

(Web Desk): Minister of State for Religious Affairs Khalil Das Kohistani survived an attack on his vehicle in the Thatta district of Sindh.
Speaking to journalists, Kohistani said that his vehicle was first pelted with stones and then fired upon while he was traveling from Thatta to Sujawal. The attack occurred in the middle of the city, where around a dozen activists, carrying party flags, suddenly launched the assault. The attackers were reportedly protesting the construction of canals.
The minister said that as soon as the attack began, his driver quickly drove the vehicle away from the scene. However, other vehicles in his convoy were subsequently targeted.
He explained that the convoy vehicles were first hit with stones and then attacked with sticks. While Kohistani himself remained unharmed, some of his companions sustained injuries, and several vehicles were damaged.
In response to a question, Kohistani claimed the attack was a premeditated conspiracy aimed at causing him harm.
