Lahore: The Meteorological Department has predicted a heat wave and temperatures up to 7 degrees above normal in various parts of Sindh, South Punjab, and Balochistan today.
Temperatures are likely to remain at 40 degrees or above in several cities, including Lahore, Peshawar, Sargodha, and Multan. 45 degrees or above have been predicted in Sukkur, Nawabshah, Mithi, Sibi, and Turbat.
According to the Meteorological Department, the highest temperature recorded yesterday was 48 degrees in Nawabshah.
The maximum temperature in Karachi is likely to be between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius. The humidity in the air is 76 percent, and sea winds are blowing at a speed of 9 kilometers per hour.
