Washington: An American newspaper has warned that a world heat record could be set in Pakistan this week.

It is pertinent to note that earlier, in April 2018, the mercury in the Pakistani city of Nawabshah reached 50 degrees, which was a heat record across Asia.
On the other hand, a wind and rain alert has been issued in Punjab from today.
According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) spokesperson, dusty winds and thunderstorms are likely in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Jhelum, and Gujranwala from April 30 to May 04.
In addition, wind and rain have also been forecast in other cities, including Lahore, Kasur, Sialkot, Narowal, Okara, and Faisalabad.
