World Safety Index by Numbeo ranks Islamabad as the 93rd safest city out of 380

(Web Desk): Islamabad has been declared safer than major cities around the world, including London, New York, and Moscow.
According to a spokesperson for Islamabad Police, the global website Numbeo has released its Safety Index for 380 cities worldwide, in which Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, has been ranked as safer compared to several major cities.
The police spokesperson stated that Islamabad was rated safer than cities like London, New York, Oslo, Sydney, Moscow, Toronto, and Barcelona in the index.
According to the spokesperson, the World Safety Index by Numbeo ranked Islamabad as the 93rd safest city out of 380.
The spokesperson added that Islamabad Police successfully brought a significant reduction in crime rates in 2024 and 2025, with 600 fewer incidents reported in 2025 compared to 2024.
The police representative also mentioned that previously, the United Nations had declared Islamabad a "Family Station" for its staff.
