Deceased were residents of Rajanpur and Bahawalpur

(Web Desk): During a thunderstorm in South Punjab yesterday, lightning strikes claimed the lives of four people and left several others injured.
According to a spokesperson for the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the deceased were residents of Rajanpur and Bahawalpur. Director General PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia contacted the Deputy Commissioners of the affected districts via telephone and directed them to provide the injured with the best possible medical care.
He expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and assured that financial assistance would be provided to the families of the deceased. He emphasized that tackling natural disasters is only possible through unity and mutual cooperation.
The DG PDMA also urged the public to stay in safe places during bad weather and avoid being in open areas under the sky.
