2000 MW electricity allocated for Bitcoin mining, AI for first time in Pakistan
Surplus electricity will be used to promote Bitcoin mining, AI data processing, and other high-tech projects


Islamabad: Pakistan has taken a historic step towards a digital economy by allocating 2,000 megawatts of electricity for Bitcoin mining and artificial intelligence data centers.
According to the Ministry of Finance, this move is part of the first phase of the National Digital Infrastructure Project, which aims to develop the economy on modern lines.
Officials said that the surplus electricity will be used to promote Bitcoin mining, AI data processing, and other high-tech projects by using modern technology. This important project will be monitored by the Pakistan Crypto Council.
According to officials, this project will not only strengthen the domestic technology sector but will also attract foreign investors to Pakistan, along with creating new employment opportunities in the technology sector for thousands of youth.
Economic experts say that investment in innovative sectors like Bitcoin mining and artificial intelligence will not only expand the country's economy but will also give new dimensions to national security. According to them, the development of digital infrastructure will lead the country on the path of independence, efficiency, and sustainable development.
The government believes that this move will enable Pakistan to effectively participate in the global technology race and gain a strong and independent position in the digital world of the future.
