Incident remains under active investigation

(Web Desk): At least 11 people were injured in a terrifying shooting incident on Sunday night in the beach town of Little River, South Carolina.
According to local police, the injured were immediately transported to the hospital.
Horry County Police reported that the incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. in a residential area near the Intracoastal Waterway. Little River is a small coastal town located about 32 kilometers northeast of Myrtle Beach.
Police stated that some of the injured were taken to the hospital in private vehicles. The incident remains under active investigation, and the public has been urged to avoid the area so that rescue and security teams can carry out their operations without hindrance.
Videos recorded by eyewitnesses show multiple police vehicles and ambulances at the scene.
Additionally, in response to the shooting, a North Myrtle Beach police officer accidentally shot himself in the leg. According to police spokesperson Lauren Jessy, the injured officer is in stable condition and is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
