Another major change is coming soon to X
X Chat is already available in beta mode to some users who pay a monthly subscription for X

(Web Desk): The Direct Messages (DMs) feature on X is being revamped.
Elon Musk, the owner of X, has announced the introduction of X Chat to replace Direct Messages.
In X Chat, users will have access to features such as end-to-end encryption, self-deleting messages after a specific time, file sharing, and voice/audio calling.
In a post on X, Elon Musk shared details about the features of X Chat.
Through X Chat, Musk aims to position X as a competitor to messaging platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, and Signal.
He mentioned that the new messaging system uses an encrypted system similar to Bitcoin, though he refrained from sharing technical details.
X Chat is already available in beta mode to some users who pay a monthly subscription for X.
It is still unclear whether this feature will be made available to free users of the platform.
Elon Musk’s primary goal is to turn X into a super app, where users can access everything in one place.
He aims to integrate messaging, payments, media, and many other features into X.
