Heat and dry weather conditions are also likely to cause heatstroke

Lahore: A heat wave is predicted to continue across Punjab during Eid-ul-Adha.
An intense heat wave is expected in Punjab and Islamabad until June 7, with temperatures likely to rise by 7 to 12 degrees Celsius. Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), and related agencies have been instructed to take precautionary measures.
According to PDMA, there is a risk of dust and strong winds in some areas during Eid due to intense heat. Heat and dry weather conditions are also likely to cause heatstroke and water pressure on water reservoirs.
PDMA said that the intensity of heat may increase the speed of snow melting in the upper areas. The public has been instructed to avoid unnecessary sunlight and increase water consumption.
