Sanitation operation is being monitored using advanced drone cameras

(Web Desk): A comprehensive Zero Waste Operation is underway in the federal capital on the occasion of Eidul Azha. On the instructions of CDA Chairman, more than 250 vehicles are actively engaged in disposing of animal waste to ensure cleanliness across Islamabad.
For the first time in Pakistan, the sanitation operation is being monitored using advanced drone cameras, making the initiative more efficient and timely.
In addition to immediate cleaning of sacrificial sites, the operation includes continuous spraying of rose water, phenyl, and lime powder to maintain hygiene and eliminate odors.
On special directives from Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Islamabad’s Deputy Commissioner, and Assistant Commissioners are present in the field to ensure the cleaning arrangements are effective and promptly carried out.
To facilitate swift disposal of animal waste, simultaneous operations are being conducted across all sectors and rural areas of Islamabad, involving over 2,500 sanitation workers and more than 250 vehicles. Leaves of cleaning staff have been cancelled to ensure uninterrupted service.
The city administration has dug over 107 pits at 55 different locations for safe disposal of offal, and 200,000 biodegradable plastic bags have been distributed among citizens to encourage eco-friendly waste handling.
Officials emphasized that the Zero Waste Operation will be made a complete success to provide residents with a clean and healthy environment during Eid.
