Met Department predicts the intense heatwave will continue in South Punjab for the next two days

(Web Desk): Several parts of the country are currently in the grip of an intense heatwave.
According to the Meteorological Department, extreme heat is being recorded in the Cholistan Desert, where temperatures in many areas are nearing 48°C.
Local residents report that water sources in the desert have dried up, causing severe difficulties for livestock. The extreme heat has also led to the deaths of animals in these desert regions.
Locals further stated that due to the intense heat and dried-up wells, they are being forced to migrate from the area.
Elsewhere, Lahore recorded a temperature of 44°C**, with the heat index making it feel as high as 47°C.
In Quetta, the temperature was recorded at 31°C, in Gwadar 31°C, Loralai 36°C, Khuzdar 38°C, Turbat 42°C, and Sibi 46°C.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has forecast that the intense heatwave will persist across South Punjab for the next two days.
