Suspect is deceased's wife

Mardan: A woman allegedly shot and killed her husband, a Motorway Policeman, in the Mian Khan area of Mardan, reportedly following a domestic dispute.
According to Mardan Police spokesperson Faheem Khan, the suspect has been arrested, and an FIR has been registered at Bezi Police Station on the complaint of the victim's elder brother, Saleem Khan. Further investigation is underway.
As per the copy of the FIR, Saleem Khan stated that his brother, Zubair Khan, was sleeping in his room when he suddenly heard the sound of gunfire from inside the house.
Upon rushing in with his wife, Saleem found Zubair lying in a pool of blood while his wife was holding a pistol. Zubair was immediately taken to Katlang Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The complainant added that the couple had been facing persistent domestic disputes since their marriage, often engaging in arguments. However, no other conflict or motive was noted beyond their ongoing disagreements.
The Bezi police has registered a case under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), and a full investigation is in progress.
