Due to stubbornness and refusal of the accused, no result could be achieved

Lahore: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has issued a written order on the application to conduct a polygraph and photographic test of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
According to the details, ATC Lahore Judge Manzar Ali Gul issued a three-page written decision on the application.
The ATC judge said in the decision that the court gave the PTI founder a fair chance to prove his innocence, but due to the stubbornness and refusal of the accused, no result could be achieved.
The court order stated that an ordinary accused does not have the opportunity to refuse to undergo the test. The accused not only refused to undergo the test but also did not meet the investigation team; the court is unable to understand this legal point of completing the investigation.
The order further added that the court believes that the accused is avoiding facing trial by refusing to undergo the tests. The court agrees with the accused’s lawyer that the court does not have a machine to forcefully conduct the test, and the court will not give a third chance to conduct the test now.
The ATC judge said in the decision that it appears that the founder of PTI did not cooperate with the investigation team, and the investigation officers should complete the process on technical grounds.
