Police have arrested accused with the help of modern technology


Islamabad: The Islamabad Police have arrested the accused involved in the murder of a 22-year-old student, Iman, of the Islamic International University Islamabad (IIUI).
The incident took place in April this year when Iman was staying with her friends in a private hostel.
According to the police, the accused, who hails from Jhang, entered the hostel of the Islamic International University of Islamabad intending to commit the incident. The girls present there made a noise, to which the accused asked them to be quiet. However, when the girls resisted, he opened fire.
The police say that one of the accused’s bullets hit 22-year-old Iman, and she died on the spot. After which, the accused fled and went into hiding after the incident. However, now the police have arrested the accused with the help of modern technology.
DIG Islamabad Jawad Tariq told a press conference that ‘the accused is a resident of Jhang who forcibly entered the hostel and committed the crime. The accused has previously been challaned in rape and motorcycle theft cases. We are taking this case forward in the light of solid evidence. The challan of the case will be presented in court soon to bring justice to student Iman’.
