Do you know which is the best city in the world to live in?
If not, then know that it is Copenhagen, the capital of the European country Denmark, which has surpassed the Austrian city of Vienna to win the title of the best city to live in the world.
Earlier, Vienna was declared the best city to live in the world three consecutive times from 2022 to 2024.
The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) has released a list of the best cities to live in the world for 2025.
The list ranked 173 cities based on various elements such as healthcare, education, sustainability, infrastructure, and environment.
Copenhagen achieved perfect scores in the areas of sustainability, education, and infrastructure.
The second place after Copenhagen was jointly held by Vienna and the Swiss city of Zurich.
The Australian city of Melbourne came in fourth place.
Swiss Geneva was 5th, and Australia's Sydney was 6th.
Only one Asian city was included in the top 10, which is the Japanese city of Osaka, which came in 7th place, while New Zealand's Auckland was also named the 7th best city in the world to live in.
Australia's Adelaide was 9th, and Canada's Vancouver was 10th.
Only one Pakistani city was included in the list, and that is Karachi, which is 170th out of 173. Last year, Karachi came in 169th.
If we talk about the most unlivable cities, the Syrian city of Damascus is 173rd, followed by the Libyan city of Tripoli (172), Dhaka (171), and Algiers (169), while the Nigerian city of Lagos came in 168th.
The report said that during 2024, global stability in Western Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa deteriorated.
Similarly, the situation in Asia is not much better, and the risk of military conflicts has increased there.
