Pakistani embassies in Iran and Turkmenistan played key role in entire process


Islamabad: A special plane of the Pakistan International Airline (PIA) has reached Islamabad from Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, carrying Pakistani passengers for the safe return of Pakistanis stranded in Iran.
According to the spokesperson, the first special flight of the national airline carrying Pakistanis stranded in Iran has reached Islamabad from Ashgabat. 107 passengers stranded in Iran reached their homeland at 3:00am on the special flight PK9552 of the national airline.
Due to the closure of Iranian airspace, Pakistani citizens present there had reached Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, by land route. Pakistani embassies in Iran and Turkmenistan played a key role in this entire process.
The special flight of the national airline had departed following the instructions of the government of Pakistan.
The passengers appreciated the timely action of the government and the national airline and said that providing services to the interests of the country in difficult times is a continuation of decades of tradition.
