Day aims to highlight importance of sports with start of the modern Olympics


Lahore: Like the rest of the world, Olympic Day is being celebrated in Pakistan today.
Olympic Day is celebrated all over the world on June 23 every year, which aims to highlight the importance of sports with the start of the modern Olympics.
Various sports competitions, including the Olympic Walk, are organized on the occasion of this day. In Pakistan, too, the importance of celebrating this day has been emphasized.
As part of the Olympic Day celebrations, children were taken to the Olympic Museum of Pakistan Way and were told about the medals, trophies, and flags kept in the museum.
An Olympic Day ceremony will be held today at Aitchison College Lahore under the auspices of the Pakistan Olympic Association, in which hockey, rugby, and tennis players and officials will participate.
