Police foiled accused’s attempt to attack other family members and commit suicide


Lahore: Two people, including a 16-year-old girl, were stabbed to death with a sharp instrument in the Baghbanpura area of Lahore.
A policewoman killed her husband and her niece. The victims were identified as 16-year-old Shazia and 50-year-old Shaukat.
Both were killed by Zainab, the wife of the deceased Shaukat, along with her accomplice. Zainab was suspecting an illicit relationship between her husband and niece, which led to their murder.
Police and forensic teams reached the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem.
Dolphin Team 15 reached the spot on a call and foiled the accused’s attempt to attack other family members and commit suicide.
According to a Dolphin spokesperson, the accused, Zainab, was handed over to the Shalimar police station for legal action, including murder.
