(Web Desk): US President Donald Trump has once again praised Field Marshal Asim Munir.
During a press conference after the NATO summit in The Hague, the US President once again mentioned mediating a ceasefire between Pakistan and India, saying that he helped broker peace between the two nations.
He stated that both Pakistan and India possess nuclear weapons and that a nuclear conflict could have occurred. He said he advised both countries to engage in trade.
Trump once again praised Field Marshal Asim Munir, saying, “I met with Army Chief Asim Munir—he is an excellent person with an impressive personality.”
It is worth noting that a few days ago, US President Donald Trump met with Field Marshal Asim Munir at the White House and hosted a luncheon in his honor.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Trump said, “It was an honor to meet Field Marshal Asim Munir today. He was invited to thank him for helping to prevent a war with India. We also discussed the Iran issue.”
He added that discussions are ongoing regarding a trade agreement with Pakistan, noting that both Pakistan and India are nuclear powers. He thanked Field Marshal Asim Munir for choosing not to move toward war.
