(Web Desk): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has expelled five members of the National Assembly for voting against the party policy during the 26th Constitutional Amendment.
The expelled members include Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, Muhammad Ilyas Chaudhry, Mubarak Zeb, Usama Ali, and Zahoor Hussain Qureshi.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar issued the notification terminating the basic party membership of all five lawmakers.
PTI’s Central Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram shared the termination notification on social media.
According to sources, these members were accused of violating party policy during the voting on the 26th Constitutional Amendment.
It is worth noting that the National Assembly and Senate had passed the 26th Constitutional Amendment in October last year.
