Three killed, several wounded in passenger coach attack in Balochistan's Kalat district
Coach was en route from Karachi to Quetta when it came under fire

Kalat: Unidentified assailants opened fire on a passenger coach in the Narmuk area of Kalat district, Balochistan, resulting in the deaths of three people and injuries to several others.
Multiple passengers were wounded in the attack. Police and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. The coach was en route from Karachi to Quetta when it came under fire.
Confirming the incident, Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind stated that three passengers were martyred and seven others sustained injuries. He added that law enforcement agencies, district administration, and rescue personnel promptly reached the site of the attack.
The injured are being shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Kalat, where a state of emergency has been declared to manage the crisis.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to locate the attackers. The operation remains ongoing.
Condemnations pour in
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the attack, labeling it the work of "Fitna-e-Hindustan" (a reference to India-sponsored militants). He called the targeting of innocent passengers a cowardly act and accused the terrorists of attempting to destabilize peace through soft-target attacks.
"The nation, united, will foil every plot orchestrated by India-backed terrorists," he asserted.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah also condemned the incident, describing the targeting of innocent travelers as a barbaric act. He stated that terrorists are a curse upon the land of Pakistan.
