‘Uranium enrichment is Iran’s fundamental right and cannot be stopped under any circumstances’

(Web Desk): Iran has categorically ruled out abandoning its nuclear program despite attacks by the United States and Israel.
In an interview with an American TV program, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made it clear that uranium enrichment is Iran’s fundamental right and cannot be stopped under any circumstances.
Araghchi stated that although the enrichment process is currently paused, this is only because recent bombings caused significant damage to nuclear facilities. He emphasized, "We cannot give up uranium enrichment—it is the result of the hard work of Iranian scientists and a source of pride for our nation."
He stressed that any future agreement must ensure Iran's right to enrichment, calling it an independent technology developed by Iran and not reliant on any foreign power.
When asked whether enriched uranium stored before the bombings had been preserved, Araghchi said he was unaware of the details but confirmed that the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran is conducting a thorough assessment to determine the extent of the damage to nuclear material.
It is worth noting that the United States carried out airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities on June 22, including the Fordow uranium enrichment site located underground in southern Tehran. U.S. President Donald Trump called the strikes a success, claiming the facilities were completely destroyed.
Araghchi concluded by saying that while the facilities have suffered damage, Iran’s nuclear technology is a domestic achievement that cannot be eliminated by airstrikes. “This issue cannot be resolved through war or bombings,” he added.
