The Worlds biggest earthquake alert network runs on Android phones

That’s exactly what Google is doing .They have found a way to turn millions of Android phones around the worlds into mini earthquakes detectors
According to general science this new technology detects almost more than three hundred earthquake hits in last one month.
In research almost 85 percent of people said they feels earthquake hits just after they got signals.
According to researchers , although this system cannot replace traditional seismic sensors, but it can provide a large scale, low cost early warning tool for areas without a wide scientific network.This system is available on Android phones in 98 countries. In just three years this system detected over 11,000 earthquake and sent more than 12,000 alerts to phones around the world According to researchers, even 5 to 10 second warning can make a big difference which helps the person to move to safe place.
